Carolyn has been writing since 1998, when she took it into her head to do a bit of travelling and write about where she went. When the Rough Guides accepted some work for publication she started calling herself a Travel Writer.
Then when the Alzheimer Society of Ontario booked her for a reading tour she called herself a pukka author. After the international blog for independent authors, Indies Unlimited invited her to become a staff writer she got cocky enough to have a go at fiction.

Carolyn trained in professional proofreading and copy editing with ChapterHouse of London in 1996. She worked for several publishers and academic institutions before emigrating to Canada, where she discovered to her horror that they used different margin marks!
That appeared to be the end of her editing career but with the advent of computers and the interwebs she was delighted to discover that Word’s track changes and commenting facilities transcended international borders.
She now offers editing and book formatting services to independent authors and small businesses. Read some testimonials and check out her prices.
In the gap between editing before and editing again, Carolyn taught herself to code websites in html and then discovered that WordPress was quicker and easier. Now that the world uses WordPress too, she has taken to tutoring her clients instead of coding for them.
The result is that Carolyn can build you a website that works, teach you to maintain your own blog, or anything in between. Add in hosting services and a finger on the pulse of SEO as algorithms change and you have an all-round website service.
